The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and Bhutan Transparency Initiative (BTI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding today , April 1, 2015. The MoU is an effort on the part of ACC to garner collective responsibility in the fight against corruption in the country. As of today, ACC has signed MoUs with nine CSOs.
BTI was formally registered as a Public Benefit Organization (CSO) with the Civil Society Organization Authority on November 10, 2014. BTI’s mandate is to be a reference actor related to understanding, analyzing and acting for transparency and accountability and anti corruption in Bhutan through the provision of policy oriented research, development of training tools and facilitation of policy dialogues.
The MoU will enable BTI to embark jointly with the ACC in numerous activities to enhance good governance in the country.
