Dr. Rinzin Rinzin was appointed as the new Executive Director of BTI on the 25th of March 2021. Dr. Rinzin is an accomplished author, scholar and poet with many publications and has a long list of achievements and honors to his name. He was also a member of the National Council of Bhutan from 2008 to 2013. He has also served as a lecturer, researcher and consultant during the span of his invigorating profession. Prior to the appointment of the new ED of BTI, Dr. Rinzin was a part of the Board and also supported BTI as our technical advisor.
Aum Pema Lhamo, the former Executive Director of BTI, now serving as the Governance Advisor, is highly qualified and experienced in governance and development, policy formulation and legislation review. Aum Pema has served as the Member of the National Council of Bhutan during the 1st Parliament and worked as the Program Director in the Ministry of Agriculture prior to the appointment in the National Council. She is a dedicated advocate on the fight against corruption stressing on the importance of transparency and accountability.
Mr. Kinley Drukpa works as a program officer with BTI. He joined the organization in 2015 and is responsible for managing the operations and programs of the organization. Mr. Drukpa holds a Bacholer’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College, North Point, Darjeeling. He also has a post graduate diploma in Community leadership from Community Leadership Institute under George Mason’s university in the U.S. Mr. Kinley is a Community Solutions Fellow. He also worked briefly with an NGO in the U.S. called League of Women Voters based in Minnesota, US in 2018.
Ms. Sun Maya Baraily joined BTI as an Asst. Communication Officer in July 2018 and currently she is serving as the Admin/ Finance Officer in BTI. Sun Maya Baraily has a Bachelor of Business Administration. Prior to joining BTI, she worked with a private business firm in Thimphu.
Mr. Jigmi Wangdi joined BTI in a probationary basis from July 2020 under the Programme Division. Prior to this he was an intern with BTI for 5 months. Jigmi Wangdi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Development from Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand.
Ms. Tashi Yangki joined BTI in 2020 as a Facilitator for the Advocacy and Legal Advice Center (ALAC) in Gelephu. She previously worked as a legal assistant in a private legal firm in Gelephu and due to her experience in dealing with legal issues, she was recruited by BTI to help facilitate corruption complaints or cases regarding corruption.
