It is with deep sorrow that the Board of Trustees and the entire family of Bhutan Transparency Initiative (BTI) mourn the passing of Dasho Megraj Gurung.

Dasho Megraj Gurung will always be remembered with the highest regard and gratitude for his unwavering commitment and visionary leadership as the first Chairperson of the BTI Board of Trustees from 2014 to 2016. His integrity, wisdom, and dedication were instrumental in laying the strong foundation upon which BTI stands today. Dasho's guidance during BTI’s formative years helped shape the organization’s principles and direction, and his legacy continues to inspire our work towards promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in Bhutan.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dasho’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
